Jealous banana baby

Couple of things which I find really funny:

Since Sana has been home with the grandparents she has gotten used to getting a lot of attention, so now when she is in daycare she actually gets upset when Ms. Libby is playing with other babies.

She is a tall baby... coming in at about 27 inches, but she weighs only 13.5 lbs. When I did some research I found that people call this kind of a baby a "banana baby" I have no idea where she gets those genes from!

Over a month later

We have now been in daycare for about 2 months. Since we started, it has been diaper rash from hell, followed by the ebola stomach virus, then it was the terrible cold and cough and now it is fluid in the ears. Throughout all of this we have learned to roll over ( it is a preferred mode of transportation now), how to grab things in our hands and hold them tight... like Sakes tail. We also have developed a sense of humor and we love Niinnniii.
Sana seems to be growing so quickly, it feels like just yesterday when I was complaining she wasnt sleeping enough. She now sleeps 8 hours at a stretch which I used to dream about, and that still isnt enough!
The new daycare is really nice, I get a positive feeling from it everytime I go there. I love her teacher Libby, and whenever I go to pick her up, she is cuddling with Ms. Libby and is showing her genuine signs of affection. We now need to get Sana a passport so we can go to Vancouver in the holidays.

Diaper rash from hell

Sana seems to have seriously gotten the diaper rash from hell. After dreading the first week of day care, we have managed to avoid the Ebola virus which everyone claims their progeny came down with that first week. Instead we have the worst diaper rash anyone has ever seen on a human. To make things worse, when we put Sana in the tub for her bath you would have thought that we are torturing her in a new way, that's how much she yelled. I haven't heard her yell like that ever!!
It took a good half an hour to calm her down after that. M was worried that she would associate him with the bath (which really hurt from the sound of it) and was insistent on cuddling her for awhile after.

The bright side to all of the tortured yelling.... she slept for 7 hours at a stretch last night :)

Day 2 of daycare

Sana started daycare yesterday and yesterday she was an angel according to her teachers. She was happy when I went to see her during lunch and smiled and talked to me. Today she was just waking up when I went there and I was in time to feed her lunch. For some reason today, she was super fussy and was crying every time she was put down. It is hard to leave when she is crying, but I suppose I will get used to it eventually. lets see what kind of a mood she is in after she comes home today.

Bye bye nana - naani

The grandparents are leaving tomorrow and while I dont think Sana realizes that they are leaving M and I do. They have been such a huge help from the time Sana has been 5 weeks old until now and we have depended on them so much for everything. In some ways I am sorry to see them go but in some I am a little relieved. It will give us a chance to kind of get into a routine and it will be nice to have a fewer people in the house as well. We are going to see them in January and then Sana will be almost 8 months old! It totally boggles the mind how time flies. She starts daycare tomorrow. While I do feel terrible that I am putting her in daycare at such a young age, she might actually be happier there than at home.
