3 months old

When I look at Sana's journey from when she was born all the way until now, I am amazed at how much she is growing and continues to grow. Like M said today, wonder what thought processes are going on in her head. When I watch the video of her with Baba looking at his tshirt and then looking at his face, it makes me laugh but at the same time it makes me feel like this time is passing by so fast, I want to hold onto these moments and store them like diamonds.

Worth a smile!

This morning Sana was awake when we were going to work and she was in a fine mood! Although she hasn't started laughing yet she was smiling and cooing a lot. It was a refreshing change from when she is sleeping as we leave. I think becoming a parent is worth all of the heartache when you see your baby smile at you.

Family photo session

We went to get a family picture taken.. what an experience! Sana was pretty cooperative. Poor thing she put up with the photographer taking photos for awhile but then she started to get fussy. it was pretty funny to see 5 adults trying to make a 3 month old smile including the photographer. We did get some really nice pictures though. I felt bad that we hadnt taken Sake but in retrospect that was a very smart move. Oddly enough none of the family pictures came out well.

About time!

As a new parent I think we get hung up so much on the baby's body functions. For example.. Sana didnt poop for a good 48 hours. This didn't seem to bother her as much as it was the topic of discussion amongst the parents and grandparents. Anything that she did, from fussing to crying was put down to the fact that she hadn't excreted and the causes of this were examined in great depth.
" I think it is the black dal which you ate day before yesterday which is causing this".... Really?

The 3 big stages

Last night Sana slept for almost 8 hours which prompted this comment from M... " there are 3 big days in a parents life-
  • The first night the baby sleeps for 8 hours
  • The day they graduate from college
  • The day they get married
I dont know if sleeping 8 hours ranks on that list but right now it feels like it does!
